Effect of Sodium butyrate on growth performance of Hetian Chichen

Effect of Sodium butyrate on growth performance of Hetian Chichen
1 Objective

To observe the effect of Sodium butyrate on growth performance of Hetian Chichen

2 experiment design
2.1 time
: 2021.3.26-2021.5.24
2.2 experimental field: Chicken farm owned by Singao Co., ltd
2.3 experimental animal and grouping
234 of healthy newly hatched 0-day-old chicks were allocated randomly into 4 treatments, 78 replicates per treatment, 1 chick per replication, fed for 60 days. Treatment 1 is; control group; treatment 2 is DING SU 90; treatment 3 is Coated sodium butyrate 30%.

3 feeding and management
The chicks were fed with basal ration for 7days after hatched. The experiment began at the 8th day, during the whole experimental process of 60 days, all groups were fed with daily ration in table 1. The feed intake and death and culling rate were recorded on a daily base; initial weight was recorded at the beginning of the experiment, chickens were sampled to test the average weight of each group every 30 days (20 chickens were sampled from each group, and sample points were in uniform distribution) , final weight was weighed at the end of experiment; feed intake, total weight gain, average daily gain, FCR and death and culling rate were calculated in each month. At the end of experiment, total feed intake, total weight gain, average daily gain, FCR and death and culling rate were calculated for the whole experiment, and 5 chickens were slaughtered to observe the abdominal fat deposition.

In table 2, It shows that, From 8-37 day-old, The descending order of average daily gain in each group was as follows: Control group>DING SU 90> Coated sodium butyrate 30%; the ascending order of FCR in each group was as follow: < Coated sodium butyrate 30% Control group > Coated sodium butyrate 30%. the ascending order of FCR in each group was as follow: DING SU 90DING SU 90> Coated sodium butyrate 30%; the ascending order of FCR in each group was as follow: DING SU 90 < Coated sodium butyrate 30%

5, conclusion

DING SU 90 can promote the growth, increase the daily gain and improve the feed to meat ratio of Hetian chickens.
